About Scott

Scott founded Valor Industrial with a vision to create a company that gives clients direct access to highly experienced people while creating a workplace where staff are genuinely valued.

Having spent much of his career delivering projects within the Wellington water infrastructure network, Scott developed extensive experience across pump stations, treatment plants, telemetry systems and critical utility assets. He later moved into a specialist role supporting ABB variable-speed drives, receiving factory training and gaining experience across a wide range of industrial and commercial applications.

Today, Scott leads Valor’s industrial and infrastructure division while remaining heavily involved in day-to-day project delivery. His combination of technical knowledge, project management and client-focused communication has helped drive the rapid growth of the business.

Personal life

Outside of work, Scott is a proud father of two young children and believes many of the values that make a strong family – honesty, trust, accountability and supporting each other – are equally important in building a successful business and team culture.

Before entering the electrical industry, Scott grew up around machinery through his family’s outdoor power equipment business, where he developed practical skills in mechanical repairs, fabrication and problem-solving from a young age. That hands-on background continues to influence how he approaches projects today, often looking beyond conventional electrical solutions to find practical outcomes for clients.

A former speedway competitor, Scott now dedicates most of his time to family life and growing Valor Industrial, although he still enjoys mechanical projects, emerging technologies and finding new ways to improve how infrastructure assets are monitored, controlled and maintained.
