Project overview
Valor Industrial was engaged to replace a critical wastewater flow monitoring system following the failure of an existing electromagnetic flow meter.
The original meter installation was located within an underground chamber and had become increasingly difficult to access and maintain. Extensive investigations were undertaken to locate and assess the existing infrastructure; however, replacement of the original installation would have required significant excavation and reconstruction works at substantial cost.
Rather than replicate the existing arrangement, Valor Industrial developed and delivered an alternative monitoring solution that improved accessibility, reduced future maintenance requirements, and delivered considerable cost savings to the asset owner.
The project transformed an undeveloped section of the site into a purpose-built flow monitoring facility incorporating instrumentation, communications, power supply, access improvements, and remote monitoring integration.
